Job Description
The Controller is responsible for day to day accounting activities, payroll, as well as P&L responsibilities and oversight of financial activities. Will have oversight and be responsible for the analysis of general ledger account activity, the creation of reconciliation schedules, periodic financial forecasts, and review inventory reports with an emphasis on cost valuation analysis.
Responsibilities
- Analysis of general ledger account activity with creation of reconciliation schedules
- P&L responsibilities
- Review and approve payment batches
- Weekly monitoring of aged receivables and outreach to customers and/or sales team.
- Responsible for Annual Plans and periodic Financial Forecasts
- Review of inventory reports with emphasis on cost valuation analysis
- Support other functional areas of accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed
- Work with project accounting and fixed asset software
- Manage customer profitability analysis
- Reviewing final analysis of costed job orders in ERP system
- Support CFO's efforts for implementing and maintaining internal controls at the plant for operations, sales and finance
Skills
- Strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, financial reporting,
consolidation, and product costing experience. - Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
- Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
- Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills in a concise manner
- Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
Qualifications
- Must have 3-5 years accounting experience. CPA or CMA is a plus.
- Print and packaging experience preferred however, open to any manufacturing experience.
- Must have Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
- Financial accounting management experience required.
- Knowledge of ESOP, tax and IT experience a plus
