Job Description
The Rigid Box Operator is responsible for the set-up, make readies, and operation of Emmeci machinery. They will monitor safety, quality, and productivity by communicating with co-workers, leads, supervisors, QA, and other departments.
Responsibilities
- Set up, run and operate the machine for production by making appropriate adjustments in a safe manner as needed.
- Review all paperwork outlining the specifications of the job that will run and ensure that the machine is set up according to the specs.
- At the end of the shift or the end of the job run, complete all required paperwork.
- Operate and monitor the production process and equipment.
- Develop other set-up box operator trainees.
- Perform general maintenance on the machine as needed.
Skills
- Ability to work overtime as required to meet customer/manufacturing requirements.
- Knowledge of support processes are preferred (die cutting, layout, glue application, etc).
- Must be able to utilize the necessary tools required for adjusting equipment.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure the line is operating properly in accordance to the job ticket to prevent quality issues.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience operating Emmeci rigid box press, or similar, strongly desired.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
